Shouldn't this colt be worth more?

I would think this colt would be worth a lot more money that what he is being sold for! Any ideas why he is so inexpensive?

Fairly untouched six year old TB that it sounds like they want to get rid off fast.
You could probably get more for him, but sounds like they want a quick sale.

If what they say is correct, it could just be that they want a fast sale. No race barn will buy him because he is too old to race in any of the big races. Plus he is untrained. At 6, even with his good bloodlines, that is a big drawback. Whoever bought him could probably have a really good horse. Unless there is something between the lines.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I think in today's market $1000 is a little high for a 6 y/o almost unbroke horse.

I agree.

In a lot of areas you can purchase a trained horse for that kind of money.

bankruptcy has stipulations. They probably gave the colt to the farm to sell, the farm can probably only make what is owed to them. Plus the market is down and he's a fairly untouched 6 year old... AND... He looks more like an arab then a TB....
