Exclamation Thinking about buying this horse what do you think??

I am looking to buy an Egyptian Arabian Colt. I am on a low budget and I have found a great colt I was thinking about. Any suggestions? What do you think about him? Conformaton? Would he be a good for my breeding program(after a few more years)?

He is about to turn 2. He is a SE colt very flashy- chest. With 4 high whites, and a blaze that wraps around his lower jaw. Pic is from early 09. He does have his papers too.

I want to find out more and go see him and get more pics soon I just thought Id see what yall thought.

Thanks

I don't like his withers. Pretty boy though. The last pic looks like he jumped straight into the air.

Can you explain why you don't like his withers, would it interfear with breeding for some reason?

I'm not expert at conformation, but they tie in at an odd angle. However, he is young, so he could just being going through the whole weird conformation stage.

To me it looks like his neck connects to his body in one line, and then his withers pop up, instead of his neck connecting to his body smoothly. I hope that you can understand that lol. He's cute enough, but personally I would like to see a bit more curve to the upper part of his hind leg. His shoulder does look a bit straight as well, but I am also looking from the stand point of dressage and jumping, so it all depends on what type of disciplines you want to breed for. I don't see any glaring conformation faults that would make me say don't buy him, or don't breed him. I can't give as good of an evaluation as I would be able to if I could see him move, and obviously at this point his chest is quite narrow, but not knowing his lineage, I can't say whether it will stay that way or fill out as he gets older. If you can post more pictures when you go out to see him, it would help.

Foal
Here is some more info I just got him.

Izzy has no medical issues. He respects space and does well in herds. He currently runs with 7 other horses. Izzy's mom rejected him as a foal so we bottle fed a few days before finding a good milk replacer that was self regulating from the bucket. As a result, he loves peope. At the same time he was turned out on a daily basis with other horses so he did develop good herd manners.

It's the space that his neck meets his withers. I think it is common in SEAs. But can you see the difference?

I agree with the neck tying in weird. ShutUpJoe's pic should clear up a little of whats been said. I think he's cute other than the neck. Maybe his shoulder's a little steep, but not as bad as a lot of horses I've seen. Nothing screams at me really as being bad, but the neck/withers is a little distracting.
