    Thinking of selling...*image heavy*

I've been playing around with this thought for several months now.
I love Vega, but at times I feel we don't mix well. I love her to pieces, but at times I think she'd so better with someone else.
I am also curious as to what you think I'd get for her.

Age: 5 years old (born March 13, 2003)
    Breed: appaloosa
    Sex: mare
    Height: I'm not sure, I think 15.2-15.3
    Hypp N/H
-Ridden english/western, although she'd need a refresher in -western.
-She has bucked/reared (small rears though) after sitting and then going back to being ridden. She has not reared since last summer, though she does buck when being lunged
-Has jumped up to 1 foot.
-She needs a confident/experienced rider, though she has given pony rides before.
    -She stands for vet/farrier.
    -She's barefoot
    -Good in cross ties
-I haven't clipped her, so I don't know how good she is with that
    -Stands tied to be bathed
    -Can be marish.

If you need/want anything else, just ask.

Hi you should get atleast 3/4 grand for the horse or more how heavy do you have to be to ride a horse that size

It's kinda hard with an N/H mare - most people wouldn't want to breed her, therefore it would lower her price. She is a nice looking mare though, and depending on her training and ability, I would say $1,000-$2500 - again, it also depends on which part of the country you're in, and how the economy is going... I would put her up on, ect if you are ready to do it...

I was thinking of putting her up there, but I don't want someone to get really interested if i'm not ready to sell. I'm still deciding.

I'm in NJ and I also paid 4500 for her a year ago. Since then I have done a lot of ground work with her and ridden her as well.
She has definitely improved and is still improving.

She has also never shown any signs of hypp and some people will get NH mares and breed them.

    This is her pedigree

Not sure if that makes a difference in her price.

Awww appy Vega is precious! I think around 2000 is good or quick sale 1500. She's so beautiful!

    Thanks Ginger :)

Though I don't think I'm selling her. I asked my fiance if it was fair to Vega (me not being able to get up there as much as I want) but we talked things though, and she's still getting turn out, food, water and shelter, and that we've just fallen on a rough time.
Once we get a house and move the horses, it will be a different story.
But i'd still like to know how much she's worth :)

She's soo cute. I agree anywhere from 2000-3000 is good.

Yeah things will all get better once you get moved and get your own house and barn with the horses. You will be able to bond with the more :)

Honestly, get her going well under saddle again, and I could see her being worth $5000 easy.

In all honesty, half of the battle is marketing her towards a certain audience; if you get her going, and market her well, people are willing to pay for quality.
I remember hearing the VP of Starbucks saying "we buy cheap beans and mark the price up... people will pay $5 for a cup of coffee because they think they're getting a good quality product."
When I was young and naive, I thought $5000 for any horse was cheap... you have to market your horse to that audience ;)
