I think we do see horses differently. Are we getting a little soft- hearted?
It's probably a matter of finding out what we REALLY want. Compete? Just personal satisfaction? Variety?
For me, having an Arab or two( or three lol) makes me quite happy, I really do enjoy living with them. The QH would for sure end up in a bad place, and doesn't deserve that. Hubby's s boy is just that, hubby's boy. If I ever had the urge to ride a big horse, he's there.
Besides, sometimes, with time, horses grow on you.....
GH, I would, in your shoes, most likely find a good home for Cody, get some wet saddle pads with Emmy, really work on becoming light enough for Willow and keep working Ben, who seems to be the type of horse who needs to be threatened every once in a while to behave( if you don't come to your senses I'll sell ya)...

Dammit, comfort food today, looks like my solution fell through...a friend was going to lend me her go to horse for the summer, if we got on with each other, then texts me last night, full of red wine, and in tears, (not sure which of these made the spelling so bad) saying that she doesn't know if she can go through with it. I think she suddenly realized that if she lent me the packer, then if she was having a bad day with her new mare, she had no fall back. I am really sad that it wont happen, but really really touched that she even made the offer, that was a nice thought.
