Thoroughbreds in need of help at Remington Park (Oklahoma)

I am posting these horses for a friend who has given me this information:

Roll on Trouble is a 17h (yes, he is that big) 2007 gelding currently stabled at Remington Park. I took these photos last Thursday afternoon, just before he raced that night. The horse is named Roll on Trouble. He had 5 starts, 0 firsts, 0 seconds, 0 thirds and earned $913. The owner said he is sound, just too slow (as his record would indicate). He was very sweet and quiet, and stood out there like a perfect gentleman. I think she would take around 1k for him. I know the closer she gets to time to leave, she will be more desperate to move him.

Newty is a 2007 gelding
That is unraced. The owner of this horse died and the trainer inherited the
Horse. This horse is about 15.2 1/2 to 15.3 and is sound according to the trainer. He was very quiet and very sweet while I was taking his pictures. He was constantly wanting to get his head and face rubbed. I am particularly concerned for this gelding as this trainer is known to sell his horses at the local livestock auction held every Thursday night just outside of Remington Park. Many there go to slaughter.

I don't know for sure how much the trainer wants for this horse, but I am sure that any reasonable offer would be entertained.

If you have any questions, please PM me and I will get you the appropriate contact info!

Wow, if I had the space and money right now, I would for sure look into getting Roll On Trouble. There is something about him that I really like, and I don't normally like TBs.

He is a really handsome guy for sure! If I wasnt currently looking at a horse (pending vet check on Thursday) I would probably take him myself!

You should contact CANTERUSA.ORG and let them know. This is what they do, find homes for TBs retiring from the track, many that are at risk of being sold to slaughter.

Thanks for the insight Saratoga...

My friend actually takes in horses just like this for rehabilitation and rehoming, but she can only take them if she has the means to financially support them.

I had asked her about "adopting" a horse from her a couple of months back, but she didnt currently have anything for me. She contacted me with these horses that she couldnt take, but knew of and let me know that time was of the essence.

Like I said, if I wasnt currently in the middle of pursuing another horse off the track, I would definitely take a look at Trouble.

Thanks!
