Not at all, but when someone is looking to trade horses, people want to know what it is about your current horse that you don't like and what it is you want in a potential horse. I've traded horses and currently have a shetland for sale I'd trade for a mini. Nothing wrong with the shetland, but I don't have a use for her and I'm into minis. Someone might want a pony who is broke to drive instead of an mini who's not broke to drive and be willing to trade. But if I just said I'll trade my shetland for another horse, people would wonder what is wrong with my pony that I want to trade, and might offer a QH or something which wouldn't suite me. So, it's perfectly normal to be asked why you're trading, and it's not an arguement at all ;)
