Super easy to catch in the field and will stand quietly, drop his head for his halter/fly mask. His bathing skills are not the best, which is odd since he would be the first one to go right into a river, creek or pond. He will go where ever you point him, over logs, through brush etc. He is very level headed and not spooky. If he see's something he is unsure of, he does not need too much coaxing to go check it out to sniff it. He is used to quads, machinery, road safe, dog safe etc. We rode last night and came upon a new trail, which took us up to a house that had 7 dogs running around and barking. It did not phase him a bit, he looked and kept on walking, even when the dogs came up behind and beside us.
He would be the perfect teenager/kid horse due his calm, quiet and gentle nature. With me being 5'10 and 160, he is just not going to work for me. He has a chunky belly but he is actually, to me, small framed. I am looking for a 15H and up stockier horse with a bit more of a motor. It's not much fun when your riding buddy is 7 horse's ahead of you, unless I get walkie talkies haha!!
Lucky gets along great with other horses, he is not low on the pecking order but he is not high, just in the middle. I cannot say enough great things about this boy. He is up to date on shots, current coggins, health certificate and trimmed every 6 weeks like clock work.
Please let me know if you or someone would be interested, he would be a phenomenal buddy for someone!
