Two mares for $100 in TN

There's an ad on the nashville.craigslist.org for two mares - one is 25 and the other is 15, both broke to ride though one is looking fairly ill - they want $100 for the both of them.

I'm half tempted to go and get them but I'm starting to feel like a rescue without the means of a rescue.

What should I do???
