Gelding is a mustang. Mare thoroughbred.
I showed the mustang as a 2 yr old, a man borrowed him and used him for ranch work..
Roping cows, checking fences.. Etc. He hasn't been with cows in a long time.
I then used him as a trail horse till he was 7. He was sold and after 2 yrs I got him back. They didn't do much with him. I've had him back for a few months, he's pretty out of shape but should be easy to fix. He's spooky on the trail. He will ride with leg/seat and knows how to neck rein. I used to ride him bareback/brideless. Can ride him in a halter, hackamore, or bit. He was started in a bosal. He's never bucked with anyone on him. When he was 2 he reared but we discovered it was a mouth problem. I've ridden him through town, to stores and with heavy traffic and he was fine. Rides out alone or with a buddy. Been ridden both English and western.
Id actually prefer to do a lease type thing with him.
The mare, is older. Id suggest light riding, maybe even just a companion horse if possible.
She was used for polo when she was young. She's taught many kids to ride. Never offered to buck or rear, neck reins great. Get vices are, barn bound when out on the trail. She wants to hurry home. A littlecinchy but just gives a bad look. And she paws when tied (not always.)
Both load, stand for farrier, tie, bathe, and clip good.
I'm on my phone, sorry if some doesn't make sense.
