If there have already been donations, why is she still in the kill pen?

Oh wait, if she was in a safe place it'd be harder to scam people out of their money. There are many better rescues, to save a horse through.

A simple google search on this rescue tells the story. It's one of the reasons I didn't buy a horse from them when I was looking.

I did call them up several times about a couple different horses and they were clearly all about getting me to send the money and that's it. I couldn't even go see the horse I wanted to buy before buying it, the whole thing was just shady. If I was in the area and could have popped in just to take a look and make sure it was what I wanted before forking over the $$$ I don't see the problem, but they wouldn't hear of it.

Whole thing was weird. I think they're just the kill broker selling these horses and not an actual rescue.

If you really want to help horses, why don't you put up the $300 to save this mare, bossman? No one is saying don't save her, we are just saying this company may not be legit and to be cautious.

I just read through this thread and wow. I saw solid, sane advice giving caution to check out places before you open your wallet. Would you buy a car, house, dog without looking, hell even a pair of boots without trying them on?

To the OP, I'm sure your heart is in the right place and trying to help. That being said, this forum has a lot of seasoned horse folks that don't see everything through rose colored glasses, including myself.

Since I figure you guys are either agents for or the actual "OWNER" of AC4H, let me just get this out in the open. You are scam artists. Enjoy keep trying to get someone to pay $1500 for a 15 year old OTTB with knock knees, arthritis and EPM...though I am sure you will advertise him as everything but the gun in his mouth, sound as a pound and 6 years old.

You people make me sick. You make the REAL rescues look fake with your bad business practices. Mostly because it is a BUSINESS. You are there to MAKE MONEY. Advertise elsewhere.

You know what, why not just send that arab back through New Holland when she doesn't sell or you can't scare enough people into donating their hard earned money. You do it with every other horse that doesn't garner enough attention. Chances are, she will sell for $50 to a LEGITIMATE rescue.
