WA horse for sale. Broke, companion, trails. $250

Sweet 8y/o 16hh TB gelding. Not reg. Hes a sweet boy and loves kids on the ground, will follow them around like a puppy dog.
NOT sound. We got him as unsound about a year ago. He was fine for trais and riding walk-canter, jumped small obsticles on the trails and such. His soundness gets worse through the winter it looks. May or may not just need chiro work done. An adjustment may make him sound enough to ride again. He will need tuning up since he hasnt been ridden but 2 quick rides since summer on the trails. He was shown in 2007 by his last owner english. I ride bareback and western.
He comes with an old raggety blanket, halter, and lead, and for an additional $40 can come with a brand new blanket delivered just this last week. I'm only asking $250 to a great loving home who wants either a pasture pet, or a horse to try and fix up to being a great riding horse again. Only bad habit I can think of he is he has become herd bound to my mare since my bf quit riding last summer, all hes been is a companion for my other horse.
If at all interested, Im open to trades of saddles as well. You will have to haul as I have no way to right now. Located in western WA.

I don't know what the economy's like in WA, but if it's anything like here, you're going to have a hard time giving him away because of his unrideability. Has a vet examined this lameness?

Well aware, but Id rather ask a small fee and find a home that wants him rather then give him away to a butcher man. Hes a good horse.

We had the same thing with bunco. He was as good as a horse can get and than just got worse. But he did find a home to a man who just wanted another horse for his horse to have company. It was a approved home. Just was telling you that (:
