    what would you price her at?

    Scarlet is a 5 year old tb mare. She is a 16.2 bay, she is off the track. I have owned her for a year. She is a great trail horse, jumper prospect and she is being trained to do contesting. She is 100% sound, she baths clips stands for farrier and vet. She is a fast learner and she loves to please you. She gets along with other horses in and out of the pasture. She knows how to lung on a lunge line and free lung. She also lunges in a round pin. She backs, squares up, pivots both ways. When you ride her she knows her voice commands and leg pressures. She will go from a walk to a canter both ways. She knows how to walk trot and canter and gallop on command. She is registered and she has good bloodlines. She would make a wonderful mother if you ever want to breed her. Her grandpa was Mr. Prospector
    Let me know what you think she is worth thanks
    Here are some pics of her
    Theses are bad pics she has gained way more chest muscle, butt muscle and she has more stomic fat. I will get more recent pics of her.. let me know what you think thanks

    It's difficult in this economy. The easier thing to do would be trying to settle with a good home as oppose to make profit. If I saw her on a market (don't take this number personally- I'm sure she's a great horse) but I would only look if she was 3,000 or lower. Hope this helps

    I agree with AK1. Without seeing video of how she moves or what she's capable of doing, I would say in this economy in this area, somewhere around $2,500 to $3,000. To get her value up higher than that, she would need to have a lot more training, some show experience, and be a more "finished" horse.

    Around here.. $500 if she is registered.. the market is in the toilet!

    OTTBs are a dime a dozen around here. As young as she is, I'd say $800-$1000.

    You make her sound great, though, so maybe if you market her right you could get more.

    Around here I would put her for about $1,500-2,000. Unfortunately there are a lot of ottb with not much training other than w/t/c.

    I agree with both things here.

    I think it's debate-able. I would start higher though. 2,500 at least. See who's interested. You can always go down, never go up :)

    What do you mean by saying she is being trained for "contesting"?

    To me she sounds like a pretty OTTB trail horse - $500 max if that much, at least around here.

    And make certain you check your spelling when posting ads about her - spelling and grammar mistakes turn a potential buyer off.

    We had to give my horse away because the economy is so bad! No one is looking to buy a horse down here. /;
