This evening animal control for Chesapeake, VA called me back to confirm. I sent her the correct link (she had gotten a wrong one) and she is going to look into it. It may not be as bad as it looks but at least someone is checking up on him and keeping the owner honest. Maybe he just needs some convincing to downsize...

These are the people that I borded my horse next too when I was stationed in VA!! That was 6 years ago... Crazy.

Usually in order to sell that many animals it's done by auction and called a dispersal sale. Likely he'd wind up with maybe $100 avg per animal after all is said and done and he's hoping some sucker will pay his asking price. He's even stated he'd rather send them down the road - suggesting he'll send them to slaughter. Guess what, the slaughter buyers don't want them unless they can get them for next to nothing and this guy knows that.

Little King Farm use to boast that is homes 400 miniatures.. I know a couple of years ago they had I think over 100 confirmed in foal.

That was about my reaction too. LK farm is famous for it's champions and Boones Little Buckeroo - but if they're breeding over 100 foals per year they ought to have one or two world champions in there. :\
