| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | About Eli | Eli is another one of my rescue horses. When I got him at about 6 monthes old, he was beyond emaciated! He had about a week left till he was dead. He had lice so bad his hair was falling out, his feet had been trimmed once, and he was a bag of bones! He came with the paperwork to be registered, though I still haven't sent them in! He's out of This Mr S Obvious. Very gorgeous daddy! Though Eli is just now getting a few white hairs.
During pregnancy, his mother had been starved and you couldn't even tell she was pregnant. After the baby was born, the mom died 4 weeks later and Eli was then bottle fed till 4 monthes. Though the guy did NOT properly feed him, and then he was starved till I got him at 6 monthes.
He was truly GROSS. I didn't want to mess with him! He wasn't allowed in with my other horses for over a year.
Now, he is happily staying at my grandparents where he gets three meals a day and the occasional workout!
I finally got on his back last fall when he was three. He just walked around and tried to eat grass. I haven't been on him since, but plan on having him broke out this spring!
