| | | | | | | About Mr Appy Gilmore | My friend Mr Gilmore, the horse I should never have bought. I'm a timid re rider, so I'll never know why I answered the ad for a 'needs experienced rider' gelding. We went to see him and found he hadn't been ridden in a while, but he felt good when I rode him and we bought him and brought him home. I rode him a little but not as much as I should, for various reasons, and last spring I decided to sell him. He went to my farrier and I was happy that he was being used. Then through no fault of his own, hay shortage and a job loss, I was asked if I would take him back, and I did. Well I started riding him and fell in love, I can't believe that this boy was here the whole time and I nearly let him go!

UPDATE...
That was then, now Appy Gilmore is my dressage horse. We've been working on walk/trot tests this year, and in the spring we will start training level. He has gone from trail horse to ring star, with a nice display of ribbons on a few short months.
