About MontyMonty's 15.1 1/2hh and is a very special boy, combining the best of the Arabian and Thoroughbred breeds into an incredibly athletic eventing horse.

He's done a bit of everything, really, from show hack through in-hand to dressage, showjumping and eventing. His passion is eventing, mine is showjumping. Together, we are currently jumping 3'4" verticals and 3' high, 3'4" wide spreads and oxers, and working towards more height, but solid jumps scare me so we've only competed in eventing in the 18" class. Next time, we'll upgrade to 2'2". Our next showjumping competition, we will be entering in classes from 2'6" up to 3', with the aim of competing 3'4" by the start of spring.
ActivitiesWe do a bit of everything! Mostly showjumping and eventing, but we also enjoy some hacking out, and I'm thinking of doing a couple of endurance rides this year. Where it's also available at showjumping competitions, we do some show hack and dressage, but I won't go to a show specifically to flat because I don't enjoy it.

We completed our first one day event in early March and came 4th out of 7 riders. Two riders were eliminated so we only really "beat" one person but we still beat someone and it was a great competition, I've never had so much fun in my life! The jumps were too small so I'm upgrading for the next event. I only play with eventing, because like I said above solid jumps terrify me!

With our showjumping we're currently training up to 3'4" verticals and 3' high, 3'4" wide spreads and oxers, in a small course of four jumps. We aim to show at 3'4" by the start of spring and be training 3'10" by the end of this year.
