Also, I know this isn't the right post, but try the aluminums! I know plenty of horses that it helped quite a bit. It won't make a 5 mover a 10, but it can change a horse from a 9 to a 10 and sometimes that's what it takes to win a hack.

I'm not giving up on her yet since she does do well over fences but I would like to open up this new APHA hunters idea for the flat since she more naturally seems to want to move that way, aside from her very forward canter!

One of the things with the APHA HUS is that the horses are bred to naturally go that slow and lots are also western pleasure horses with english saddles on.

Well her bloodlines include some pretty good Halter and Reiners, nothing English

Hey, is she double registered? She's 50/50 paint and quarter horse. Her being a solid also makes her registerable for AQHA.

If she's a solid they might. Contacting them would help, I know of some paints who are double registered.

Interesting! I always thought a product of two QH's that have some color can, but Sandie has a Paint parent and a QH parent.
