Appaloosa manes what to do

Ok so this year im going to show my appy mare english and she has a spiky mane I was wondering if you could give me instructions or a web site that will tell me what to do and how thanks

Does the whole thing kind of stand up mohawk like or is it just parts of it that are short and stick up? If she has the typical appy mohawk there unfortunately isn't much you can do. ;) Keep it nice and trim and that's about it! If it's just part of it that sticks up... make sure the rest of the mane is pulled neatly. Then you can either invest in a mane tamer to help the rest of it lay down.. or I just wet and gel a horse's mane then make a bunch of braids pulling straight down. Rebraid every day or so.
