A Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

How are you? How's the reindeer? I noticed Dasher is a bit cow-hocked and what's up with the red nose on Rudolph? It spooked me last year. Vixen is hot though.

I've been a good boy all year, well mostly. I bit Chip a few times but he deserved it for being too close to the hay.

For Christmas this year, I'd like a big round bale of hay, a salt block, and a mirror so I can admire myself. I'm so beautiful, I can't hardly believe it! Don't bother with halters or saddles, that only makes my human think I want to work for pity's sake!

Love, Nick

P.S. Don't bring Harley the dog anything. He's been sleeping on my hay and makes it smell of dog. You can bring Sugar the dog a bone, but nothing for Harley, he's a bad dog.

Sometimes I wrestle with my demons. Sometimes we just snuggle.

Dear Santa, Can you give my owner something to make her walk faster when I want my oats? My pal agrees with me. We have to stand around and wait about 20 min. and do you think she'll run? Not on your life. Could you whisper in her ear not to put the big hay bales so far apart. Sheesh, we have to walk back and forth and to top it off, we have to walk all the way to the fence for water. And we always have to wait. She says it has to be this way so it doesn't freeze. We're not the ones who have to dump the ice out. She needs to get the lead out. Love from Bonehead Fat Boy says Hi

Dear Santa,

I admit I have been a very naughty pony this year. I have tipped over the garbage, taken fly masks of my pasture mates and chased them with it, climbed into the hay and ate more then I should have. I destroyed my blanket the first time I wore it, chased my pasture mates with a stick, chewed on my saddle, chased the dog, bit the pig, tried to step on the ducks, chased my pasture mates with an empty feed bag, flung my expensive feed all over my stall, chased my pasture mates with a broom. I also admit to spending time figuring out how to open my gate and escape, I took a tootsie pop right out the hand of a child and ate it, and the missing brush that was me, that broken water bucket that was me too, it was hot the water was cool it seemed like a good idea at the time. Yes Santa I have been very naughty, and I had a lot of fun doing it. After all a pony has to have fun!

But Santa, I did some good things too. I confidently carried my girl over miles of trails, put up with getting painted pink, getting my mane braided and painted pink, I have drug things that make big horses run, I have dove into water that others would dare not go, no obstacle is to scary for me. I am not barn sour, or buddy sour, I load right up in the trailer, I stand for the farrier, I let my girl lay all over me. She dressed my up like a hula dancer just so she could take pictures, it was humiliating. Santa, I make a little girl smile everyday the humans laugh at me, they call me the pasture clown. Certainly all that is worth a little treat in my bucket come Christmas morning.

My girl wants a new halter for me, but you can skip it. A new halter just means more work for me. Why not give her something like a bag of horse treats, then she will be inclined to give them to me. I promise to share with my pasture mates ;>

Merry Christmas

Love, Puck the Pony

Dear Santa,
Yes! I've been a good boy this year. How do I know , you might ask? well....all the other boarders at the barn are constantly telling my human what a well trained and well behaved horse I am! They ALL love to pet me and give me scratches.
Even my own human often tells me that I'm a good boy. (but she also corrects me when I don't do what she's asking, but that just means I get to try again, and earn that 'good boy' comment)
Just in case you really can see us all year long, let me just say that the times I got snotty or even bucked/kicked/fa**ted in response to a strong cue from my human while playing online, she really did use more pressure than needed!! honest,,,,,after all we equines are responsible for training our humans, right?? And I've got her just about whipped into shape....I haven't had to give her the middle hoof in ---like forever.
So then, here's my list, Santa:
1. Hay, tasty, tasty hay--not to share with my pasture mates, can't I have my very own personal round bale???
2. vacation in Florida--far enough South for there to be plenty of grass in January and Feburary
That's about it, Santa, over all life is good and like all equines..FOOD is the most important thing to me!!
Merry Christmas !

Respect......rapport......impulsion......flexion.. .

Dear Santa,

Since this is my first Christmas, i don't think that i have to prove i was a good boy to get stuff. Shouldn't i just get one Christmas free?

If not, I have been a good boy this year. What little bit of this year i have been alive.

I have only escaped from the fence twice, and it was always my sissy Roxy that talked me into doing, and led the way.

I have done everything my human has wanted me to do.

Even the strange things, like walking over all those random things, letting her spray me with that thing the water comes out of .

Ok ok i dont like it when she sprays me with that wiered smelling stuff out of the bottle. But i tolerate all her other stuff.

Anyways i want.... more buckets to tote around the fields( cause out of all the toys moms buys, i like buckets more)
Bunches of hay and o yea those things she calls "COOKIES" LOOOOVe them!

BO or Booger as my mom calls me
