Most of the people I know that have face tattoos do them for cultural reasons. For example I know a few people with Maori heritage that have te moko and other facial tattoos: http://webpages.charter.net/aprilxii...ori_tattoo.jpg http://www.prm.ox.ac.uk/images/tattoo_1.jpg
I guess I'm just used to seeing this kind of thing and it doesn't really bother me.
Most of the people I know that have face/neck tattoos are in bands, bartend, are artists, etc. Even if they didn't have face tattoos they're people who I can tell just wouldn't fit into a "normal" job.
It's an entire subculture. There is a look at me factor, but that's not a lot of it. Most of the people I know have professional, good ink. (No pen and ink tattoos!) There's a whole subculture of "freaks" like that that most people don't even know about it. And some of those pictures are tame compared to what you would find within the subculture. They all have jobs, families, etc and are generally good people.
Just wanted to shine a light on the flip side!
