Who would employ these people??

I am just wondering where some of these people would get a job other than a tattoo parlor or as a circus freak. I think a tastefully placed piercing can be appealing such as a very small stud in the nose or eyebrow but.......................****!! And tattoos........., be reasonable people!!!!

(yes, those are hypodermic needles)

And continued.......

And last but not least..............HOLY ****!!!

I do know that this last one with the ridiculous piercings and the one that looks like a tiger are 100% not photoshopped cause they did episodes on both these people at Ripley's Believe it or Not.

Oh, I know. There is this guy at the prison that has so many prison tats on his face that they all blended together and now he looks like a smurf. What's worse is that he does them all himself. I have walked to his cell several times to find him with a homemade tattoo gun looking in the mirror and filling in a particularly empty spot. LOL.

Those are crazy aren't they? I go to a lot of tattoo conventions and have seen a lot of people who look like that. And yes, because they are tattoo conventions most are affiliated with tattoo and piercing shops. But I've always wondered why I never actually see people like that out in public? Could be they are embaressed? IDK but there is a whole subculture around that including modelling agencies who book people for photo shoots and stuff. I love tattoo's and piercings but that is way too much for me!

I just kept thinking, "Thank you God, for the kids you gave me!" When my daughter wanted a piercing across the top of her ear that I did not really want her to have, I told her I would pay for a small, inconspicuous tatoo if she would promise me to NEVER pierce her face, nose or tongue. She agreed. When she turned 18, she still got the ear thing done, but that was it. Son also has one, small, tastefully done tatoo. I am a happy mom!

Disturbing...very disturbing!

"Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and, once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Most of the people I know that have face tattoos do them for cultural reasons. For example I know a few people with Maori heritage that have te moko and other facial tattoos:

I guess I'm just used to seeing this kind of thing and it doesn't really bother me.
Most of the people I know that have face/neck tattoos are in bands, bartend, are artists, etc. Even if they didn't have face tattoos they're people who I can tell just wouldn't fit into a "normal" job.

It's an entire subculture. There is a look at me factor, but that's not a lot of it. Most of the people I know have professional, good ink. (No pen and ink tattoos!) There's a whole subculture of "freaks" like that that most people don't even know about it. And some of those pictures are tame compared to what you would find within the subculture. They all have jobs, families, etc and are generally good people.

Just wanted to shine a light on the flip side!
