Oh, God love them busybodies! ROTF!!!! I bred Borzoi for a while (Russian Wolfhounds to the uninitiated...hairy greyhounds to the under uninitiated) My next door neighbors called the Animal Control office soooo many times, saying I wasn't feeding them, they were starving...The AC officer was another dog person, who was well versed in dog breeds. She came out, took one look at them, saw they were in excellent condition (they were show dogs) and left. She would make sure to be the one who 'caught' the calls about me, so when she came out to 'investigate', I'd have a cuppa coffee or cold iced tea waiting, and we'd sit on the veranda, watching the dogs play, and chat. I miss those days!
