    Foal
Ooh this is so the thread for me! I am secretly hoping zombies become a real thing (and that they are slow not that wall climbing super human kind).

Our neighbor is a trained sniper and has some MRE's for my family and his own, so I think we would hunker down for awhile. I would probably move around town with the ponies to keep them fed and I would have to learn how to shoe.
If we became overrun or had to go for some reason Suri would be my mode of transportation and I would use the pony for pack supplies/extra weapons. We would probably head for the country, somewhere dry with ample pastures and wildlife for hunting. I'm pretty antisocial so I wouldn't mind it just being the two horses and myself but we may join a group if they were trustworthy and of sound mind/able bodied (or at least the majority of them. I don't want to be doing all the work or end up getting killed because of something stupid somebody did)

If the horses were to die for some reason (get eaten/sick, etc...) my mode of transportation would be a motorcycle. It would be easier to maneuver amidst abandoned traffic jams and fuel efficient.

Weapons would be a sword, a short ninja sword machete, rifle, handgun and a crossbow for hunting (What can I say? I'm a serial over-packer! -and I love weapons!-)

I would sleep in whatever shelter I could find or maybe hitch myself up in a tree somehow.
Oh and I live right next to a base so if they became overrun I could raid that place for weapons/supplies.

I enjoy this kind of thing way too much...

A few of my friends and I have a bit of a plan lol. We would be stealing a camper van... Sorry... Appropriating a camper van... and headed out of the city. Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world, so once we get out, we are home free. Our group is really well balanced too - I am a farm girl, so can keep us fed, my bestie is a counselor so can keep us all working together, my hubby is a designer, he can design us a kick-ass zombie proof shelter, and my bestie's hubby is a tech guru, so can rig up all sorts of defensive stuff. The only problem would be if our 5 kids would slow us down...

I wouldn't worry about that, if they're anything like me and my 3 like-aged siblings were as little kids My family kept us outside 80% of our time, so we got REAL good and REAL fast at running through the woods, making huts and even finding the right things to eat off the land Zombies would have been nothing for us.

MORAL OF THIS STORY: Kick yo kids outside so they dont' slow you down when the zombies hit

Yep. I'm with drum. I would join in on the fun but only if I get to have the mental faculties to pick and choose who I eat

Rally the troops (neighbor is policeman has tons of guns & ammo, have other friend who is an outfitter and can hunt and track like crazy) then head for the lakes. There's plenty of water (which is ubber important in a desert) and game.
Sorry, too cold to go north.
We'll bunker down in the Superstitions. After all the Apaches were able to hold off the cavalry for years there. Very defensible.
