Annie jumps her first oxer!

This is super exciting for me, because this time last week she was happily plowing through jumps of the same height! She's learned that it is much easier to just hop over them; then the poles don't hit her legs. Funny how that works, isn't it? :P

The video is only about 30 seconds long. I literally only rode her in the arena for 15 minutes because she was just so stellar about everything. We then went on a long, 2 mile hack. :) Also, this is her first time cantering the jumps and cantering a line. She landed from the first crossrail in such a relaxed, calm canter that I decided to see how she was about cantering the jumps! Clearly, she was wonderful. I'm so proud of her!

I'm going to have to start making some bigger crossrails!

Ohhhh, what a good girl. She looks like she likes it too. Congrats.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

Haha now that she understands to go OVER the jumps it's much more fun, lol. Since I have no one to set jumps for me, every time she plows through one or pulls a rail I have to change it back myself. At least she's learning to stand while being mounted!

Thank you! And I think she's starting to enjoy it a lot now that she knows what I want from her. :)

Thank you! I definitely will. She cantered her first 2' course today and we had a few little breakthroughs, so I've got some more little exercises I'll be incorporating into her jumping routines to really help her understand how to use her body better.
