My horse is 14.3 hh and I hope to be jumping him quite high. I am training him myself and the highest we've jumped so far is just 21/2 feet but I hear pings can get to a quite high jumping standard. :) and my boy is a standardbred I rescued him from the race track :)

I've jumped horses that vary in size. The smallest that comes to mind is a pony sized (couldn't have been over 15 hh) gelding who jumped better than a lot of the big horses I've ridden.

I use to jump a 13.3 mare. I was 5'8" I had to swing my legs back so they didn't knock the poles down.
She was one of the guttiest ponies ever, she could really fly but she was also a difficult hot ride and always in season during the summer! To slow her I had to sit deep and use my legs, she would pee, swish her tail but check back. To go, just sit and click!

Heh I love small horses
They're such cute jumpers I ride a 131cm (I guess it's about 12.9hh??) zemaitukas breed horse (Žemaitukas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Sometimes he overjumps a lot and it's very hard to stay on

Do NOT talk about the rider's position, look only at the horse

Once in a competition this pony jumped 145cm (4.76ft?) and it was Lithuania's pony record for a while! It's just amazing how small ones can jump... <3

My current eventer(gray) is 15hh flat, and overjumps 3ft in his sleep. He used to compete 3ft6 hunter jumpers, schooled 4ft easily. I just don't have the guts to go higher yet. My old pony(black) is almost 14.2hh and topped out at about 2ft9. She has very bad hips and that has since retired her from jumping anything more than 2ft. She was definitely capable of going higher when she was in her prime though, despite not learning to jump until she was about 12.
Bailey over 3ft.

Satin over 2ft9.

My 14 hh pony Diamond ^•^ She is 100% Jumpers - flys around the courses, turns on a dime, and jumps with the best! Love her!

Most of the horses I've jumped with are around the 14-15hh range!
There's Figgy 14.3hh (now retired, was once junior champion of france)

And Sparky who's 14.1hh (20 and still regional champion at 85cm, 2ft7)

There's also a 15.3hh polish horse I know who's winning the 1m20 speed stakes (3ft9!) at only 7 years old (and yes, compared to all the other competitors 15.3hh is tiny)
