Personally, I was always platted up and had a coat, vest and tie but only because I was riding a couple horses in show jumping as well as hack and hunter rings.
Show jumping doesn't strictly have a dress code you need to follow, but if you're planning on any hacking or rider classes you need to plat up and dress up unless programs state it's acceptable to wear a polo shirt. Always tuck your shirt in as well and look as neat and tidy as possible.

Il probably take a jacket etc and a polo and see what others are wearing.
And just trim the old mane, looking pretty wild at the moment.
