Hmmmm never had a falll that sent me to the e.r. but ill list the falls most lame to the most amazing.
#1-this was my first fall... i think i was 5.... riding a little pony for pony rides at a fair...saddle slipped...i slipped...and down i went:)
#2-this was my 3rd fal...11 years old... i was riding at camp and w were on a trail. i took off my stirrups to strethch my legs during a break and Belle started to run...i held on but then she sidestepped and down i went:)
#3- my 2nd fall... 10 yrs old... i was riding a huge, old horse wih arthritis (Cadenza) and we were doing a jump course. well because of his arthritis he goes SUPER fast around turns and so he went around and broke into a gallop...i tried to pull him out, afraid of him getting hurt by going so fast but no such luck. he went over and i fell on his jump i pulled my self uop and leaned as far back ass possible, to no avail. it was time to choose a direction and pull him out of the jump. i chose right. he chose left. we boh got our way:) i landed on the wall but got up and was all "Boo-yah! first fall while jumping! YAH!" yeah i was a strange child...:)
#4- my 5th fall... just yesterday (14) ... so as some of you may know i recently aquired a green broke paint gelding.... yesterday i was riding over a course in a monthly lesson... well we were going over a weird course and my trainer had been screaming at me the whole lesson to lean back... i didnt listen. jumping over the 3"3 just after ground work and my trainer put down a ground pole aftr the jump so i couldnt turn early....hehe well that scared rrowdy ("OH MY GOD WHY IS THERE A POLE?????? WHERE DID IT COME FROM?!?!?!?!?!!? AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!") and he jumped like a 4 foot feence then started to do what i have dubbed "The Bad Pony", crow hop, buck, shaking, and rearing all rolled into one spectacular move. usuallay i can get him to stop but he was bucking higher than ever and, despite my trainers efforts, i was too far forward. down i went, landing on by back then scraping my helmet against the wall:) rowdy was all "Oh skylar! guess what??? it was just a pole!!! i protected you though, right?" haha goood one. got right back on and had a pretty good lesson after that, minus a few spooks and bolts:) he finally got me off...i knew it was gonna happen soon:)
#5- my 4th fall...12 3/4 yrs old... i was riding my lease horse Chief and we were cantering around the lanes with a few friends down by the paddock...he started bucking. i cgot him under control no big deal. but after i ride i go barback and i took him intothe outdoor arena. i didnt expect to stay longer than one lap around so i didnt shut the gate behind me... somethin spooked him i guess, or maybe he was just ready to be done, but either way, he bolted. i want hanging on and fell off. he galloped off towards his pasture about a quarter mile away, and i chased him. my friends went after him on their horses but were afrai tio get too close and step on his reins so they just sorta followed him:) he stopped a his pasture gate and when i ran up, looked at me like "Hey there. what took ya so long?" the fall itself hurt my tailbone, but no actual damage. i count this as my worst fall mostly because i had to go all that way to grab him:)

Other horse related disasters: stepped on by a runayway horse, breaking oll the toes on my right foot, nearly fell off a clff, electrocuted by the fence when a horse shover me into it, bitten in the neck, kicked in the thigh, dragged down the isle, run over. yay me!:)

I've only had one bad fall (knock on wood) and it didn't seem terrible at the exact moment that it happened. I was 15, maybe 16, and having a lesson at my regular barn, riding a 16hh Appaloosa mare named Random Hearts. It had just rained pretty hard 2 days before, but wasn't muddy anymore, so it was a typical lesson in the arena. We were warming up with walk/trot/canter/serpentines before moving on to some low jumps. So, here we are cantering down the long side of the arena and all of the sudden she stepped in a HOLE and went down, straight on to her side. My instructor said I kept perfect form the whole way down, lol. She landed directly on my left leg, and when she rolled up I rolled over to the side. First thing I did was look over to make sure she was okay... I was terrified that she had snapped her leg. Then I realized that my leg hurt. There was barely any swelling and no bruising, so my mom thought I was being a drama queen and made me go shopping with her after we left the barn. I complained all day about my leg aching, but she brushed it off. About 8 hours later she told me to go take a hot bath and that would make me feel better. FYI, if a part of you gets smashed do NOT soak it in hot water. I got in the tub and about 5 minutes later my leg exploded. I could literally feel the blood vessels bursting. It felt like firecrackers going off in my calf. It turned bright colors and BALLOONED up immediately, and I had to be rushed to the emergency room. Doctor wanted to do a minor surgical procedure to put a drain in and let the swelling go down, but I was scared of surgery, so I ended up being on total bedrest for 2 weeks and then on crutches for another 2 months after that. I now (10 years later) have a hollow spot on the inside of my calf and some weird tingly nerve damage. The barn owner told me that the horse was totally fine, nothing wrong with her at all, thank goodness.

I've also had some bad falls. Once I was preparing for a jump, on a new horse (now my current one). so we approached it at a preferable speed, we jumped it, after bucking, he stopped dead on his tracks, threw me off, and waited patiently (I could almost swear he felt guilty, he never waits)

About a year ago I was riding a pony gelding who was all to exciteable. He was cantering around throwing little crow hops and bucks and he suddenly came to a halt and threw three really large bucks. On the third buck he lost his balance and came down on his right front shoulder. My face broke my fall resulting in a broken nose and three broken ribs. I also tore the retina in my right eye. For a long time I was unable to see correctly, but luckily the damage has gotten better (although I've been told my eye will never completely return to normal) and it took a long time for my ribs to heal. I fixed my nose myself and had my friend get on the horse while I limped away and went to the ER (can't let him get away with being bad now can we?)

I've had three bad falls...
My first would be when my first pony tripped after landing off of a jump and fell on top of me. He then rolled over my entire body and when he got up he stepped on my wrist and sprained it. He knocked me out cold for a good 15 minutes and gave me a major concussion. My eye socket was also cracked in two places from when he rolled over me and this also broke my nose.

Second bad fall would be when I went on a trail ride with a group of friends and a dog ran underneath him and spooked him. The horse reared and flipped over on top of me. The horn of the saddle hit me right in the chest and only bruised (thank goodness) my sternum. When the horse got up he kicked my in my side cracking several of my ribs. I wasn't able to eat or drink anything and stomach it for three days afterwards.

The third bad fall was when I was hacking a pony. The pony was giving me quite the attitude with her lead changes and would rear every time I asked for one. Finally after getting a good solid change out of her I decided to quit on a good note. While walking her out she stopped dead and flipped over on top of me out of no where. She pinned me up against the wall of the ring and dislocated my shoulder when it happened. But the worst part was my back...I couldn't walk for two days and it took me a few weeks to be able to get back onto a horse.

Finally had a bad fall! Sounds weird to be excited about it but it was good learning experience. About a month and a half ago I fell coming off a jump, Lucy put her head down and sped up (other way around please, girly) and I couldn't sitnupmin time so off I went winding myself and making a Sam shaped dent in the ground in the process.

I had been riding this mare for my trainer and she had been doing really good. I had started jumping her and got real comfortable. One day we were going over a bigger jump and she stopped and I went right over her head. On the other side was a big mud puddle and I fell in it...........I was covered in mud from head to toe. LOL
