cavaletti exercises

So I was wondering if anybody new any good cavaletti exercises I can do with my pony to start getting him into shape. Also if you know the measurement for trot poles.

For the "average" strided horse (that has a canter of about 12 feet) the space between trot poles is about 4 feet. For my ponies I make it closer to 3ish. You may have to have someone on the ground rolling them in or out to figure out what's best for your pony.

3 feet ! Wow that seems short to me ! I always do 4.5ft for a normal strided horse and a bit shorter for a pony.

I like to set 2 or 4 poles on a 20m circle & trot & canter them both ways. Counting strides or steps while you are doing it to see if you are even
