Today I rode Chief. I was really nervous because I hadn't ridden him before and had heard some. . er. . bad things about him. He was perfect with his bridle, took his bit right away. When I go on he was really eager to go and refused to halt. After a while we went down to the ring. While we were warming up, I didn't have my stirrups and was kinda spacing out. . the cows were standing @ the gate and he got scared! I ended up on the side and decided I'd just jump off so, I did. Well after that refused to walk on that side of the ring. Once we trotted it was the same. He would turn into the middle and bolt to get away from them. We kept trying and eventually did it not only at the trot but the canter too!! He has an insanely fast canter and was definately a challenge but I LOVE this horse!!! He was a very good boy and an AMAZING jumper. We went around 2'3 and I can't wait to ride him again!
I really want to. He is such a good boy. He's very heavy on my hands but, he does listen to his cues and will turn if I ask, and stop if I really, really ask. (haha.) He might be sold soon but, I know the girl and would be able to see if I could ride him or not
Deb took a quick pic of us haha I look so funny, I think I was chatting with her about the weather? I'm not sure. But you can see in this one, he is GORGEOUS!
