County Saddle

I'm getting a new county saddle !

im SO excited !! the county dealer came out yesterday and we did a fitting for gypsy and for me. im getting a sensation with the bull leather, 17in seat, narrow tree, chocolate color. its actually really interesting because gypsy measures a medium, but she prefers a narrow tree, no wonder i havent been able to get a saddle to fit her on my own ! i test rode 6 saddles, and if it wasnt the narrow one, she would kick out when i put my leg on her, which is her sign that her back hurts. she sure lets me know how she feels !

its going to be super expensive, but ive decided to invest in it, because i want a really nice saddle and im gonna have gypsy for a long time.

does anyone else have a county ? any pics of your county ?

Congrats! County makes some awesome saddles. I was looking into one couple years back, but it was too narrow for my horse.

....soooo jealous right now! I'm sure you'll love it. I know two people who have them. They fit like a glove. If you have any problems, they are great about resolving them.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

thats too bad you couldnt find one kittenval !

the first one i sat in fit soooo well ! the others were ok, but the one im getting just put me in the right place immediately. the county dealer i used is super nice, she even left me with a brand new demo saddle to use until mine arrives ! i cant wait to jump in the loaner, ive only flatted in it so far.

^^ I'm hoping to find nice used one and try with my saddle fitter. I think we used to have one County rep here, but she works with Stubben now.

i hope you find a good rep and are able to get a county ! it has really made all the difference [just the loaner saddle] for me and gypsy in our last few rides. she seems so relaxed and comfortable and her gait is so free. even though the loaner saddle's seat is not the one that my saddle is going to have, its fits me really quite well and i feel like im riding the horse, not riding the saddle.

i really cant wait for my saddle to come !!
