Talking First jumping lesson!!!

I had my first jumping lesson today in Wadsworth, Ohio at Ashwood Farm/HPR Stables. My instructor's name is Holly P. Robinson and she is awesome. It was scary, painful, and thrilling all at the same time. I started riding English when I was about 8 years old but I was forced to switch to western because there aren't very many English barns in my area (Canton, Ohio). I like western and all but I just didn't feel that excitement and fire in the pit of my belly. I decided to try jumping lessons because it's always something I've admired and wanted to do. Now almost 10 years since I first rode English, I'm doing it again! I have been riding Western Pleasure for a while and it's very slow and controlled. Getting on a fast English horse and asking her to canter and jump was a bit unnerving to say the least but I did it and can't wait to do it again. I am sore today though because jumping uses completely different muscles than Western pleasure
