    Smile First time jumping outside!

Such a nice day for jumping!! My friend Julie and her horse Grady, and of course Sandie and I, decided to play around with the little jumps that were set up in the outdoor arena. It was so much fun Here are some videos for your enjoyment (and please, no critiques - Sandie and I are BOTH new to jumping so we're just learning - my trainer points out all our flaws already!!) There are several things we're working on, like staying straight on the approach, keeping Sandie's head up coming to the jump, me bending more at the waist and releasing more with my hands, etc. etc. etc.!!

PS - this was also the first time Sandie and I had CANTERED over a jump (up until now, we've trotted them all)!! It was SO exciting!!

Aww she's so cute! Make sure you don't hit her on the mouth though -- you don't want her learning that jumping hurts xD

Yeah that's one of the biggest things we're working on actually...esp since she is just learning. We didn't get the last few on video, but in those, I was throwing away the reins a LOT on purpose just to get used to releasing more...

Your pony is adorable! I love how you were all blue. Your polos matched your blue saddle pad which matched your shirt and you matched one of the blue jumps! :)

Thank you!! She just started learning to jump about 2 months ago with my trainer...I started learning about a month ago - she's such a natural! And I'm steadily getting better, although I have a long way to go lol
