Question green horse and rider

Okay, so I haven`t jumped in years except for the odd crossrail. My gelding had been started over small fences, but was then ridden western for a while. Then I got him, and have been doing lots of dressage movement. Id like to start him over fences, but although I used to be able to jump fairly high, my jumping is rusty. I have no one that I know thats a jumper and I have no place to go to jumping lessons in the area on a horse other than my gelding. Our flatwork is solid though. If I have an instructor supervise, and take it very slow, could we be successful...

I would try to find a good jumping instructor and get them to train you

Its always useful to have an experienced eye helping you. :)

In riding, a horse's energy is like a river- guided by the banks but not stopped by them.
