Ground Pole

I forget the proper name for the ground pole in front of a jump to give a horse an idea of where to leave from, but how far in front of a jump should this pole be placed?

Thank you!

It's called a "ground line" and where it's placed will depend on how big the jump is and what you're trying to accomplish. (you can move the lines in or out if you want to teach the horse certain things)
