Gymnastics Spacing

OK so I have a pony that very much has a pony stride. I want to do gymnastics, but I always feel like I have my measurements wrong, so I never do grid work unless it's already set up. (I measure 1 of my strides = 3ft )

SO to double check:
A set-up pole should be 9ft in front of the jump
A trot-in bonce should be 9ft while a canter-in bounce should be 11ft
A one-stride is 11ft
A two stride is 30ft

Trot poles are 5ft while canter poles are 9ft..? I think..

Please correct what I've gotten wrong.. lol I really need to practice this stuff, but I don't want her falling all over the place because my measurements are wrong.

Trot poles should be 4.5ft maybe even a bit less if her trot stride is short. I like to set bounces at 9ft if they are poles and 10ft if they are jumps, regardless if you trot or canter in.

A one stride trotting in should be 18ft. For cantering in, remember, you take the length of stride + 6ft for landing + 6ft for take off.

This. But I usually set bounces at 12 feet, not ten. Although, f they are smaller crossbars 10 feet might be more suitable. But I would consider this all for a horse not a pony. It's hard to say what to set it for without know how long your pony's stride is. I'd start off just taking off a foot everywhere.

Interesting ! I've never heard of making bounces more that 11ft. Then again, I have never done a bounce with the jumps higher than 3ft.
