Helmet a distraction?!

So I show in Hunter/Jumpers and about to do some hunt seat in college. I want this helmet pretty bad but the thing is, it'll be all black but have a silver "strip" in the center.

Will this be a good helmet to show in also? I am just worried that somehow the judges could consider it to distracting. I know I've seen plenty of riders have the silver in the center but I'm not sure I see to many with that large of a silver "strip".

You should be able to find the answer in the rules an guidelines for the organization you will be showing under. In any case, if you really want it, get it and worst comes to worst, you can get a cheapo black helmet cover for shows.

This helmet should be totally fine. It is a 'knock off' look of a charles owen gr8, and they make a charcol/black one just like this. I see them all around the h/j stuff, so they are 100% acceptable and not distracting.

Consider that most judges will spend a fair bit of time looking at you from the side and not head on, so the silver strip will not be that visible to them. Nor do I think it's a distraction. It's not as though it's covered in glitzy sequins or anything. ;D
