Highest I've ever jumped is 4' something. It was on one of my trainer's student's horses as my horse was lame. His name is Legend and he's a Preliminary level eventer. He's great :) That was the first time I did extended trot too! And believe it or not he's an Anglo-Arab!

My highest jump was an accident. When I was only jumping 18" (4ish years ago) I was riding a 12hh pony. He was only green broke, and I was trying him out for my friend. Well I wasn't the best rider, and this pony took advantage of me. We were cantering around the arena when he decided to swerve and try a jump thst was 3.9"!!!!!!!! I jump around 3 foot now on a regular bases and 3.6" at the most, but that was the most fun ride of my life! I can't beleive I stayed on. My friend ended up taking the pony anyway, and he is to this day showing at 2 feet and loving it.

Glad you made it safely over What a stunning little jumper, beautiful horse. I must say, your position wasn't bad at all for someone who jumps just a fraction of that height on a regular day.

Hopefully you continue riding to get to that height of jumping. You would really enjoy it.

I've jumped about the height of my friend, she was probably around 5 feet at the time. I really don't measure. It wasnt a whole course it was one jump, it was actually set up the short side of the arean not the long side. No idea what I was thinking. We were trying to see how my big guy would jump. He was just shy of 18hh.

Veganchick- no, legend is not a purebred Arabian. The " Anglo" in Anglo-Arab means half Thoroughbred. It can be used for any breed. For example, a TB/Shire could be called an Anglo-Shire
