All I have to say is get a jumping trainer to teach you.
Please, please, please do not do this by yourself. You have no experiance in jumping so don't try and teach your very green horse how to do it. Find a local jumping trainer and start taking lessons. That way both of you can properly learn how to jump. Good luck! :]

Yep, get a trainer. As for teaching a horse to jump, this is not good idea until you have done a lot of jumping yourself. It is best to learn on an experianced horse.

Get a trainer for you and your horse. If you would like to wait -- although it will be quite a while. Get someone to train your horse to jump and then to train you to jump on your horse. But I'd go with a school master.

Definitely get a good trainer. Secondly your horse is far too young to jump yet, wait til he's at least 5 years old. So be content to use the school horse to learn on. You will have to learn a lot of flatwork before you get into cavaletti and jumps. Be patient and let your brain be a sponge, jumping is a lot of fun!

I would suggest that while your horse gets a little older, train on a more experienced horse. In the meanwhile, just do lots of flatwork. If you want your horse to be a good show jumper one day, the flatwork is essential.

Get an english trainer to help you with dressage AND jumping. Do the dressage on your three year old, and then the jumping on a school horse. That's the best I could suggest. And please don't start jumping your horse alot now.... ; )

Well, with english, the big thing is getting used to the strange saddle. LOL

Positions change and the way you ride changes as well. I'm not really good with the western thing, so I can't point out the exact differences.

I can offer pictures though. ; )
