Jumping in a dressage arena?

Does anyone jump in a dressage (66' x 198 foot) arena? If so, does it feel too tight, or is it doable? Could I properly prepare for a hunter/jumper show in one?

Thanks!

Simply put... YES!!

You could ride in this size ring and make it work.

Jumping classes... you are the only 1 in the ring at that time so not going to be run over...nor have "traffic" to contend with.

You can safely jump combination lines.

You will learn to use the ring fully and not cut corners...

Do-able... you bet it is!

I do it weekly... One thing to note it shows up all your faults ;) we have a 60 x 40 arena where I ride so its pretty big - but can usually just a course of a 1stride double down one side a middle upright or oxer on the diagonal and then an oxer or upright on the other long side - plus usaually a starting jump on a 20 meter circle thats a bit smaller.... also frequently do grids

If I didn't I would have no where to jump :) The barn where I board's largest arena is just smaller than a standard dressage arena, and the place that I've been trailering to for jumping lessons has an even smaller arena.
