jumping height

I know the height of the jumps does not show if you are a good rider or not, I'm just curious how high people are jumping and how long they have been riding. I have been riding for 6 years and I'm jumping 3'ish. Also, it would be great if you could list any other horse experience you've had-leasing, lessons, ownership...

I was jumping 1m regularly a couple of years ago, and was schooling a little higher. I had only been riding a couple years. I think I pushed myself to far to fast, and tanked over a 1m oxer, and lost all my confidence. Didnt jump for over a yr after that, and now Im quite happy sticking to the 75 - 80 cm mark.

Hi - I'm 27 and been riding since I was 5 (with a break for uni).

Currently jumping 1.2m (4ftish) and schooling 1.4m (4ft6) - which is scaring the hell out of me , but trying to get over that barrier at the moment!
My new horse Bizz is only 15.2hh, but it the most amazing jumper I've ever ridden.

Spent most of my early years loaning ponies from a riding school, then got my first horse at 14. Started competing (show-jumping) other people's horses when i was 16 - but never good enough to make it!
Waited until I got a 'serious' job, before getting my own - and enjoying every second!

Right now I'm jumping about 3ft, & I've been riding English for almost a year. I rode Western before.

Ride more, worry less.

i've been riding for about 5 yrs now. I did not jump for a year because i fell of jumping 3 ft and it scared me. I tried him over a 5 ft jump but that is the highest i have got.

I have been riding for 13 years (back yard riding for 6, Lessons etc for 7). I have jumped up to 4'9". About a year ago I had a horse rush a jump and when I incorrectly tried to correct him he refused and I was catapulted into the jumps. After that I stuck to smaller ones here and there, Im more about the complexity of the course rather than the height of the jump these days

A Dog looks up to a man,
A cat looks down on a man,
But a patient horse looks a man in the eye and sees him as an equal
