I wish I had gotten a picture of me the other day. I was riding a 5 year old haflinger who is a total fatty. He really likes jumping though. I taught him like a week ago and, granted we dont' exeed like a foot because he's so out of shape, but i kept making the funniest faces because a little girl was crying and she could see me in the mirror. she said i looked like a doof but it cheered her up. that's besides the point. i still can't figure out how Dooey manages to pick his big belly up over the jumps :)

Oh my new NEW fave jumping photo This was a first for me tonight...the first time I have ever jumped bareback!! It was SO much fun!!!!

Ok, I just want to say - that is EXACTLY where you want to be while in the saddle HITS.

Studdy that picture, and mimic that exactly form the next time you are in your tack :)

Thanks!! That is exactly why I wanted to give bareback jumping a try! I figured there was NO WAY I'd be able to stand up if I was trying to jump bareback...I'd have no choice but to remain in the correct position lol! Now I know how it feels and hopefully I can put the training wheels back on and then not rely on them!

I bet if you were to send that picture to GM at Practicle Horseman *with you in your tack of course* he would have allot of positive to say.

Thanks MIEventer! Coming from you the positive feedback really means a lot, since you really seem to know your stuff, esp in the realm of jumping!
