And to think I freak out if asked to jump anything over 18".

That was pretty amazing...I once witnessed a horse jump a 5.5 foot tall stall wall from a stand still. Seriously. That was amazing!

If I am correct, I think it was disqualified because there weren't enough spectators, or it wasn't documented enough, or something along those lines. It is the unofficial world record.

And Hooooooolyyyy Cow! That horse is fearless to be basically jumping a wall.
Kudos to Norcos and his rider!

Wow that was insane! I can't believe that they finally broke the record. It has been around for some time. I was starting to think that it would never be broken.

Amazing! Fantastic horse and rider! That is sooo high! I would be cantering up to it and then say "Um.. you expect me to jump THAT?!?!? NO!!!!" but my horse would be like "let's do it! Let's do it! Please, mom, please???? I wanna I wanna I wanna!" lol
Stunning jump.

It is Kings Own who didn't have enough people, Huaso holds the official record at 2.47. http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/inf...cord_jump.html If you google him, more comes up and there is video Horse High Jump-MS. It's short but it's pretty amazing too :)

I'm going to show it to my pony club kids if only to point out his hands and the position of his leg.

Am I the only one who thinks this is cruel?

I cannot even imagine that strain that is being put on the front legs of that horse. In a few years that horse is going to have major leg issues and will most likely be put down because he will not be making the owners money anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I love to jump, but with everything, I think it has to be done in moderation and with keeping the horse's well being in mind.

Sorry but that's pretty judgemental.... You don't know them or the horse or their plans.

That horse is incredible !
