Question Jumping Shows in Michigan??

Yes, I'm getting quite fed up with Michigan. We don't seem to have any shows that have jumping close to where I live.

I've searched and searched, but I'm not finding a whole lot.

Can you guys help me search?

What I'm Looking For:

-small, local-ish shows (around Ludington, MI...or Traverse City, MI) Midland, Cadilac, Muskegon, those are also awesome. I don't care that much, but it needs to be sort of close. NOTHING in the Upper Peninsula!

-AQHA shows are okay...my horse is registered under them.

-CANNOT be Horse Shows By the Bay...we aren't ready for that yet! Haha

Thanks! I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out!

UGH, I feel your pain! I used to jump, and it was a pain in the butt to find shows in Michigan.
I found this site,

Michigan Hunter Jumper Association

I don't really no if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Good luck!

Yeah. Michigan doesn't have much in shows. Any shows around here are ether 4-H fairs and shows, or Western and speed events only.

I have found that if you want to do much in jumping and everything you have to go out of state.(which is easier for me then it probably would be for you, I am in SW Michigan so closer to the border)

That's not true at all - they have tons of shows, I have friends who are avid Hunter/Jumpers and they are gone all year long competing.

LMHJA hosts shows at Lou Don, Twin Cities Classic, Alpine Ridge, Huntington Valley, Cedar Lodge...

LEHS, LMHJA, MHJA - there are quite a few circuits. You just have to look and you'll find them.

Then there are the Lake Effects Shows, which are at Windsong Stables, Waterloo, Meadowview, and the list goes on.

I have friends who are part of the Lake Effects Circuit, and they are gone all summer.
