Question Jumping wear...

I am just starting lessons and don't have a clue what to wear!! If I need to buy stuff it has to be really cheap as I don't have a lot of money... I am working all week for for lessons! Please send me links to what I will need.

Helmet (you might be able to borrow one from the lesson barn, but you'll probably want your own pretty soon)

Boots & half chaps - the half chaps aren't necessarily a requirement, but I find that the stirrup leathers pinch without them

Gloves - again, not necessarily a requirement, but you'll probably get blisters on your fingers occasionally without them.

If you're on a budget I would highly recommend searching/combing through ebay and there are tack swap groups on Facebook where I've personally found lots of good conditioned show coats, breeches, and tack.

Helmet, I recommend Troxel as a first schooling helmet, and then if you get more serious I currently ride in a Charles Owens and love it.

Gloves really are a must in my book, I guess it would kind of depend what kind of horse you would be riding. I ride a headstrong stallion so I would never ride without gloves or my hand would literally be torn up.

Breeches
Paddock boots w/ half chaps.

You might not need them but its always nice to have your own crop and spurs.

You will want to get a pair of riding breeches and paddock boots (half chaps would be good to go with the boots). Check out Dover Saddlery.
