Just Had to Share

Nothing really important, but I was lucky enough to help a horse find his confidence over fences. I've only been back to jumping for a month now, and three weeks ago I had a lesson on a horse that had a tendency to stop out/get nervous. The horse and I clicked right away. He was very hesitant at the beginning of the lesson, but found his courage as the ride went on. Towards the end, he was finding his own distances and carrying me to the fences with an easy stride. One of the barn's trainers told me today that he is much more confident jumping now and they have begun using him for little kids to learn on. I just had to share. It made me smile to know that I could help a horse find his confidence again. :)

That certainly qualifies as important. To know you have the effectiveness as a rider to give confidence to a nervous horse is a big deal. I'd be very happy with that feather in my cap.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.
