Well today, I felt like I just had a really "off" day jumping, just one of those days I guess! I felt like I was reverting back a little to my bad habit of standing up over the jumps and rounding my shoulders instead of keeping them straight (sticking my chest out)...and also I felt really just unstable (I think I'm still tired from Tuesday!!)
Anyway, then my friend took pics and posted them on facebook, and I actually feel better about my form! If this was an off day for me, it wasn't too bad, considering what I looked like just a couple weeks back! Here's what I mean...this was me jumping a little while back...very in front of the motion and standing up with my crotch in front of the saddle...
This is me jumping bareback on Tuesday - forced into the correct form because I had no other choice with no stirrups!
And here are pics from today's not so great session...but does anyone think I'm actually improving in the saddle with the bareback work I did earlier this week? Or am I just seeing what I want to see?! Lol
I know I'm still a bit too forward and I need to "stick my butt back" further so to speak, but given that I felt today was TERRIBLE I kinda feel better seeing how I really looked! Anyway just thought I would share...thoughts?!
