Lacey jumping!

I just thought I'd share a few pictures of the lovely Lacey jumping as though it's her debut to some weird jumping competition. Haha

She seems to really like to get up right by the jumps then jump really hugely. =P And she didn't even refuse or anything at all.

I had been lunging her but since the ground was a little wet and I wasn't sure how she'd do I decided to free lunge her since she likes that better than anything. She picked up the canter on her own and I figured that as long as she was comfortable cantering them I'd let her be. The jump was only maybe a foot and a half or so at it's highest point and in the middle it was only about 6 inches. O.o

First time she jumped it: I think she was a little surprised so she jumped super duper huge.

Then we change directions and she jumped it again, not as huge but still a pretty big hop for a small jump.

And in case you were wondering, she got 2 scoops of grain afterwards for being such a good girl.

What a beautiful girl :) She sure does get very deep into that fence before she takes off, to help with that - set up a ground pole infront of the fence, to help her gage her take off point.

Very beautiful girl :)

Aww, thanks. =) I love her a lot.

I will definitely try that! How far back should the pole be? 2 feet? 3? More?

I would place it about 2/3 feet before the jump. No more than that, just so that she doesn't get so deep into the fence.
