Well its been a while since I have been on here so heres a quick update! I have moved from the boonies of Northern Alberta to Central Alberta which is horse country extreme. I am working at a wonderful vet clinic that specializes in horses and am doing a lot of equine repro work.
My horse is Eurus, a 6 year old Canadian Warmblood that I have owned since the day he was born. We have been through vet school and back together and now that I have graduated are finally getting to star showing.
Eurus and I have been boarding and training with my boss's wife who is a Grand Prix show jumper. They have a wonderful facility and not only have the other ladies at the barn been amazing, but I have had the oppourtunity to go to a number of shows. Up north I boarded alone so its been such a nice change to have other people to ride with as well as the oppourtunity to take lessons with such an amazing coach. Eurus and I started showing this year before we moved down south. We just did the 2'/2'3 hunters as I have never really shown before and he had never shown at all! He did amazing and e won a number of classes
After starting lessons with Lorrie we did some schooling shows at .7/.85 jumpers and a couple Gold Rated shows. We are now doing the 0.9 and 1.0m classes and even did a speed derby last week that included a bank, table top, and ****!
I am so pleased with my boy and can't wait to see what the future brings for him. We have gone from just starting over fences to jumping the 1.0m division in the course of 4 months and we have yet to tap our full potential.
