My daughter just rode in the Zone 10 Los Angeles clinic this past weekend (May 9th and 10th). Melanie was hard but fair, and we took home SO much information to work on. She is an amazing clinician, and is world-class in how she wants you to perform. You REALLY need to bring your "A" game to ride with her. Work on trot poles and basics before you go, and then listen to everything she says. Just because you ride "pretty" is not even remotely good enough. You must try your absolute best to do what she is telling you for the specific exercise you're working on NOW. That's what she is looking for. Try your utmost and get the job done. If what you're doing doesn't work, try something else, but don't just sit there looking lost. Also, carry a stick and wear your spurs. If you have any questions, let me know.
