Oh my goodness - this just keeps getting better and better! (Leo update)

Yes, I rode Leo again. It was...interesting. I warmed up without spurs cause I forgot to grab them, and WOW is he dull to the leg! -_- My legs were buuuurning after like 10 minutes haha.

BUT....I jumped him 2'6"!!!!!! ON THE FIRST TRY!!!! (and the second, and the third...on the 4th try he started bucking and refused haha) We did a small course, only 4 fences, but one was a single fence in the middle of the arena, one was an oxer, and one was the 2'6" fence. I don't think I've ever ridden so hard in my LIFE! Even after he refused, I didn't give up. Or accept defeat! (haha) There were a few fences he thought about refusing, but I kept driving with my seat & legs and we got over. Before, we would have stopped. Everytime.

As you'll see, our first attempt was a bit of a fail. He refused the first fence twice, then the second fence, and then we got down the final line. Our second try was good though - he only refused the first fence.

Aaand - I wasn't scared. At all. I can't get over this - in a year I've gone from crying at the thought of riding him to getting him through bucks/refusals and laughing about it!

Anyways...my awesome mom ^-^ took pictures and video so here you go:

Video:

(the first course was the fail, second one was sooo much better!)

Great job girly! Be very proud of yourself, he's a rough ride, but you do it well!

I WANT THAT HORSE! When can I have him *flutters eye lashes* lol.

Thanks! That means a lot, coming from you ^-^

Pleeeeeaaaase take him, ahahha. The sooner the better! I don't wanna ride him anymore, but since he's the only other horse I can ride (I'm too tall GR) when Brooke's busy I have to. -_-

nice work! Even though you don't love Leo, riding a horse who's dead to your leg and likes to refuse is only going to make you stronger. You two look cute together. Well done!
