I've been jumping for 6 years now, I'm at 3'9'' fences and I need shows that are a challenge. I'm from Medina, and I'm tired of local shows. Does anybody know anything about Chagrin or State Fair?

I have heard about a couple, but haven't been to any...I board at Pleasant View Farm, right on Rt. 18, it's very convenient since it's about a 5 min drive from my house! But it would be soooo nice to own property and just have my horse in my back yard, I'm jealous! ;-)

State fair has a qualifying show-the PAS show. I know of one that's either in June or July that I'll be attending, but I'm sure you can find others online. I'm fairly certain there's one in each county.

Pam Graham runs shows near central Ohio, and I've heard that they are very nice from people who have showed there.

Delaware holds a New Vocations Charity show every summer toward the end of July or beginning of August, and there are beginner and advanced classes.

Marysville holds a hunter/jumper show on July 11 this year, and it has pretty good fence work and such that I've seen... [still showing Twende beginner jumping and higher flat (;] Although, I don't think these fences are as high as you are.

that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll let you know if I can come up with any more. (;

Do you do any A shows? Or medal classes? They're usually quite a bit more challenging then local level stuff. You're lucky your local shows have classes at 3"9! Most don't.

Are you a member of the Ohio Hunter Jumper Association? Their website is OHJA Home Page. There's a calender on there with their show schedule. There are a lot of big shows listed.
